Our Yom Kippur Retreat

Our Yom Kippur retreat was holy and awesome.  Each person who attended joined together through our prayers and meditations to form a vessel to contain the possibility for each of us for inner release and transformation.  We’ve attached some pictures of the peaceful prayer space at the Franciscan Center.

Rosh Hashanah Blessing Seder

Our Blessing Seder that we have on the first evening of Rosh Hashanah was a little different this year.  It was the first year that we had a Rosh Hashanah seder plate.  It also was the beginning of the Shmita year that occurs every seven years and is dedicated to giving the land of Israel a rest.  We borrowed a beautiful Shmita seder from Rabbi Nina Beth Cardin from the Sova project and entwined it with our seder.  The birthday cake is part of our celebration of the birthday of the human soul that Jewish mystics teach occurred on the eve of Rosh Hashanah. The name on the birthday cake, Adam, pronounced Ah-Dham, means the human being.

Sukkot 2014 pics

What a fabulous sukkot we had!  We combined the festivities with a pool party for the kids and a mezuzah hanging celebration for the Freedlands who hosted our party.  Very Special Thanks to Sukkot Across America for the support that they gave to us for our Sukkot gathering.  It made a great deal of difference.
